$30.6m Construction Funding Announced for Supported Housing Development

Today (May 25th), the Province of BC, the City of Vancouver, and the StreetoHome Foundation announced capital funding for the 1050 Expo Boulevard supported housing project being undertaken by St. James Community Service Society and the 127 Society for Housing.

The announcement was part of a larger $225m housing investment plan to build over 1,000 units of housing for the homeless, or those at risk of homelessness, in Vancouver.

"We're extremely pleased and grateful that this project, so long in the planning, is one huge step closer to reality," says Jonathan Oldman, Executive Director of St. James Community Service Society. "Together, the eight projects will make a huge contribution towards ending homelessness in Vancouver. All the partners involved in this should be very proud of what we are achieving together."
