May 2nd to 9th: Hospice Palliative Care Week
May 2nd to 9th 2010 is national Hospice Palliative Care Week. This year the theme is "discovering your voice".
Many people do not understand what hospice and palliative care is and how it can benefit people. The Canadian Hospice Palliatice Care Association wants to hear from people living with life-limiting illness, their care givers, family members, friends, health care professionals, and volunteers who have been touched by hospice palliative care.
What does hospice palliative care mean to you? What does care at May’s Place or Cottage Hospice specifically mean to you? Stories can be a powerful way to give hope and inspire others.
You can submit your story to the website of the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association.
